BELGRADE OPEN INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENTS

In order to give young and talented players opportunity to mesure their skills with experienced masters from abroad, in 1948 from 25th to 18 th January, the first international tournament was organized. 20 players participated, playing in accordacnce with the Berger's system.
The last international tournament marking the anniversary of liberation of Belgrade was played in 1969. and such tournaments suited to the occasion were not played untill 1975. This practice was continued in 1975, when the 1st International October Championship of Belgrade was staged in Belgrade from 24. October to 7. November. These tournaments were staged in accordance with the Swiss system every year until 1987. There were 13 tournaments altogether.
Altogether 1327 players competed in them and 106 of these players were foreign ones from 28 countries in five countinents, including: Algeria, Argentine, Austria, Australia, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Chile, Denmark, Great Britain, Finland, France, Isreal, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Canada, Columbia, Cuba, Luxembourg, Hungary, New Zeland, Paraguay, Poland, USA, Switzerland and Spain.
From year 2001 (when 14. tournament was played ) till this year, all tournaments were played in Obrenovac, under the sponsorship of Belgarde Assambly.
All of these tournaments produced a high publicity impact and helped many chess players to acquire experience and win rating points, while some of them won bals for international titles. All of them were played in accordance with the Swiss system. International Open championship of Belgrade was included in system of competition, which is under sponsorship of Secretary of sport and youth named '' Belgrade Trophy''.

The Championship will be played in 9 rounds according to the FIDE Swiss System (computer pairing). The rate of play is 2 hours for 40 moves plus 30 minutes till the end of the game.
The organizer has provided participation of minimum 20 foreign players to make possible achievement of international norms for FIDE titles.

Entry Fees: 30 EUR
Grandmasters: FREE OF CHARGE
Forign grandmasters have free full board.
Tournament protector is Parliament of Belgrade City
Organizers: Belgrade Chess Federation and Obrenovac City.

TROFEJ BEOGRADA
Međunarodno otvoreno prvenstvo Beograda u šahu

Istorijata

Da bi se pružila prilika mladim i talentovanim igračima da svoje snage odmere sa iskusnim majstorima iz inostranstva, u Beogradu je od 25.januara do 18.februara 1948. godine organizovan i I međunarodni turnir.Turnir je igran po Bergerovom sistemu,a nastupilo je 20 igrača.Poslednji turnir po kružnom sistemu povodom godišnjice oslobodjenja Beograda igran je 1969.godine.
Tradicija se nastavlja 1975.godine organizacijom Prvog Oktobarskog medjunarodnog prvenstvoa Beograda.Od tada pa nadalje, prvenstva su igrana svake godine do 1987, po Švajcarskom sistemu.
Kroz njih je prodefilovalo 1327 igrača, od čega 106 stranih igrača sa 5 kontinenata iz 28 stranih zemalja Alžira, Argentine, Australije, Austrije, Bugarske, Čehoslovačke, Čilea, Danske, Engleske, Finske, Francuske, Izraela, Indonezije, Irana, Italije, Kanade, Kolumbije, Kube, Luksemburga, Madjarske, NovogZelanda, Paragvaja Poljske, SAD, SRNemačke, SSSR, Švajcarske, Švedske. Španije i naše zemlje.
Od 2001.godine, kada je odigran 14.po redu turnir, pa do ove godine Medjunarodno otvoreno prvenstvo Beograda održava se u gradskoj opštini Obrenovac.
Svi dosad odigrani turniri imali su veliki propagandni efekat i poslužili su mnogim šahistima za sticanje iskustva i osvajanje rejting poena, a neki od njih su osvajali i balove za međunarodne titule.
Medjunarodno otvoreno prvenstvo Beograda uvršteno je u sistem sportskih manifestacija »Trofej Beograda», Sekretarijata za sport i omladinu Beograda.

Dva najboljeplasirana igrača, VM ili IM sa rejtingom 2400 i većim, članovi šahovskih klubova sa područja ŠSB, stiču pravo da kao prdestavnici ŠSB-a, igraju na jednom od turnira »Grand prix Balkan«, za 2010 godinu.

Igra se 9 kola (Švajcarski sistem),sa tempom igre, 2 sata za 40 poteza + 30 minuta po igraču do kraja partije. Redovna kola, osim IX (poslednjeg) igraju se svakog dana od 16.15 do 21.15 čas. Poslednje IX kolo, igra se od 14,00 časova. Organizator obezbeđuje učešće najmanje 20 inostranih igrača, neophodnih za ispunjavanje FIDE normi, za sticanje međunarodnih titula.

Svečano otvaranje turnira održaće se 24. novembra u 15.30 časova.
Zatvaranje turnira i završna svečanost održaće se 2. decembra u 20.00 časova.

Upisina za učešće na turniru, koja se uplati u ŠSB do 23.11.2009. iznosi:
seniori: 2.400,00 din
omladinci (do 16 godina) i žene: 2.000,00 din.

Uplata upisnine na dan početka turnira, za sve učesnike iznosi: 2.600,00 din

Upisnine su oslobodjeni:
- velemajstori
- internacionalni majstori, koji su registrovani za klubove ŠSB-a.
